With the advent of digital photography, Robert Miller has become more than a traditionally trained photographer.

His professional career began in the early 1990s following apprenticeships with several of the nation’s top photographers. During this period, he learned to compose and light his subjects, as well as work with many types of personalities, while maintaining a sense of humor along the way.

His client list ranges from small design firms to large corporations and advertising agencies. Years later, he would bring this solid foundation into the digital age and apply those principals to how he operates today. Because he mainly uses digital equipment on commercial assignments, he has learned to use these tools to his clients’ advantage.

He has stated to his clients in the past: “I consider myself a commercial artist who uses various mediums to communicate a specific message depending on the assignment or client I may be working for at a given time”. Sometimes his images remain photographic while other times they may take on an illustration look.

His background does not only include producing images. He also has a background in graphic design, final production layout and the printing process. Robert understands what his clients will do with the final image and how they should be prepare when delivered.

Miller’s services go beyond photography, as “taking pictures” is only part of what he does.
